About this course

This course is taught in English.

Obstacle classes are mostly fun for both, owner and dog.

They are quality time together, a hobby and you can learn or practice to work with your dog on different stations.

Your communication will improve, you teach something new and your dog´s confidence will grow.

Who is this for?

Dog Owners

With insecure dogs.
Who want to try something new and have fun with their dog.
That want to get their dog to move (more).
Who want to strengthen the bond with their dog/s.
Who want to teach new things and meanwhile improve their communication.

Course objectives

The goal of this course is to have fun while working on new tasks with your dog, practice communication skills and ways of motivating your dog. Conquer different stations and fulfill tasks together.

I will guide you how to

Communicate (even) better with your dog - depending on the task that you are working on.
Work with different rewards.
Set up obstacle courses at home without having to pay a fortune for gadgets.

How it works

We will work outdoors in an area that is proteced from views, fitted with a varying set of obstacles and "task stations".
Each team works on an obstacle/"task station" at a time, we rotate regularely and I help each team based on individual needs.
The setup will be adjusted depending on your dog´s needs and the progress of the course.
Your dog and you will enjoy a bonding time together working on your dog´s fitness, balance, coordination and confidence.
The well-being of the dogs is my priority to make sure that the experience will be a positive one which both of you will want to do again and again and again...

Your trainer

Hi, I’m Doreen! I grew up in Germany, but moved to Iceland and made it my home.

These days, I am helping dog owners build better relationships with their dogs. Knowing that behaviour is also shaped by nutrition, I am just as passionate about raw dog food and I love guiding people keeping their dogs healthy and make them both smile.

I believe with all my heart that a mix of good training and healthy food is the best way to bring out the best in your dog.

4 sessions outdoors (each 1 hr) in a protected area.
Many different obstacles and "task stations" to try and practice.
Clear & easy step-by-step guidance that teaches you what to do and tailored to your progress and needs.
Helpful and easy-to-implement tips how to create an obstacle course at home.

Outdoors in 110 Rvk (Árbær).
