Hi, my name is Doreen
I help you achieve living in harmony with your dog and enhance your dog´s health through raw feeding.
With empathy, respect & positive reinforcement.
Why I became a Dog Trainer
and Raw Food Guide
Once upon a time...there were many things in my life calling for attention: family, friends, my job, hobbies…
All of them needed time – time, that I often felt I did not have. In the end, each day has only 24 hours, right?
And then we got our wonderful puppy. He made his way into our hearts right away. And soon I felt that sometimes he was not getting his fair share of the already limited time on our hands.
I wanted to fix this and – experiencing all the love, joy, fun and smiles that our dog brought to us – I wanted to make sure that we could spend as much time as possible with him.
There was (and is) a lot of information out there about training and feeding. It made me curious and – yet again – it took time.
Time to figure out what information suited us, which advice helped to solve our problem(s) and how to apply all this to our lives, which steps to take and in what order…
I loved reading about these topics and I wanted practical and easy-to-implement solutions.
So I decided to pursue this professionally and became a dog trainer and a dog nutritionist (if you want to know more about my education and training, CLICK HERE).
Wow, how fascinated I was (and still am), how quickly and with how much joy dogs can learn! How many options we have to achieve our goals and how much fun it is working with dogs.
My knowledge helped me find my way. I want to pass on this knowledge to help you and your dog, too!
HARMONY & HEALTH
Harmony: I strongly believe that it is possible to live a balanced life where both you and your dog's needs are met. It is the life that makes both of you feel on ease and enjoy each other´s company.
A strong bond between you and your dog is the foundation and I help you with practical advice to achieve your goals and solve the challenges you are facing - to ensure that it is easy to implement them in your daily life.
I also take a look at your mindset and time management and give you tips how to stimulate your dog nicely and in a satisfying way – avoiding adding extra time to your schedule or keeping it to a minimum.
My second key to ensure that you and your dog can be around each other for as long as possible is health. For me, it comes down to self-made food and I work based on the raw feeding concept BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food).
Healthy nutrition is an important factor for physical and mental well-being and therefore influences the harmony of your team.
FOR YOUR TEAM
With my work, I aim for...
...contributing to a harmonious and vital life for your team.
That being said, I need to add that I have a soft spot for reactive dogs. I know about the numerous challenges for those teams from personal experiences and I offer courses that are especially designed to help them.
Another focus of my work are courses that offer space and options in which you and your dog can simply enjoy good times and create beautiful memories together. In other courses, the objective is to enable you to read and understand your dog/s (better) and apply that knowledge to your daily interactions to avoid possible future challenges.
It goes without saying that private sessions have an individually tailored emphasis on the topics your team needs.
My approach is based on a respectful and friendly communication with your dog to create space for learning, processing and thriving within a framework that works for your team.
Last but not least: Passing on my knowledge about the raw feeding concept BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) in an understandable and bit-sized way, is my logical consequence to spread the idea of healthy feeding and ensuring vitality.
